looks like a back-mobe to me. The kite may have looped but it doesn't seem to feature much in the video.

Yep, I agree with Bellz. F16 (aka kitelooped backroll) with a backside 360 airpass.
Good on ya though.

Ummm, that's a frontside 3 not a backside. Technically it is a KL back mobe.

What the hell was i smoking. Sorry, i don't know what im talking about anyways. I can't do anything except boost and get dragged up the beach. But i do it with style and i tell all the girls im a kiteboarder cause that gets the babes right?

But seriously, i mistook the direction of the pass but... isn't a mobe where you have to get inverted? Like, upside down and all that.

You don't have to get inverted during a mobe. A mobius is a heelside backroll with a front side 360 handlepass. (Notwithstanding front mobes)

If you believe in the existence of a high mobe and a low mobe, you are talking about a high mobe. This is the inverted mobe and easier due to kite position.

ya it's F16 pass or KL mobe (backloop kiteloop unhooked with handle pass after).
It's not a backmobe. For the backmobe you must pass the bar during the first rotation. If you want to use "mobe" it's a kind of "kiteloop late mobe" or better : "KL mobe" !

Dude, I don't know where you think you have shown I am incorrect but the walkthrough of the mobe is exactly as I have said. That is that you DO NOT have to pass the handle on the initial rotation.

Quote from the walkthrough:

"As you spot the water and begin to descend, pull the handle into your back to make the handle pass just like you do on your heelside 360. Keep the rope in tight throught the flip, or you won't be able to pass the handle."

In other words, after the initial rotation pull in to complete the frontside 360. Again, exactly what I was saying.

The other link you have also gone to the effort of posting also describes a back mobe in the exact same manner as I have further up the page, so again, thankyou for proving me correct.

So my advise, erm, would be to read first.

Actually what I was getting at was that you actually have to be inverted. In that video, its like a reverse S-bend (no idea what thats called)

Not yet but I'm working on it. What about yourself??????????????????????????

Regardless of this though, I don't see your point really. You don't need to be landing a trick before you understand the trick itself. Do you think that people need to be capable of doing something as simple as a railey before they understand what it is that constitutes one?

You think all the judges on the PKRA do all of these tricks before they are allowed to judge?

As we are talking kitesurfing, perhaps this would help...

http://www.prokitetour.com/terminology-and-tricks-definition.php

But as I was there I got a bit carried away and thought about making my own trick up:

Osmosis Mobe with a Roast Beef Grab to Blind and Landing Wrapped...

I think I'll call it an 'In Your Dreams' !!!

Never gonna land it, or even attempt it, and it's probably not possible, but it sounds cool... Anyone else ???? It's just for fun...

Nope, well not in kiting. I think maybe in wakeboarding but don't quote me on that one.

In kiting however, blind is landing with your back to the kite and wrapped is landing facing the kite. (both with the bar behind your back)

Or another way. If you land blind and have completed the handlepass you will be riding toeside. If you land wrapped and have completed the handlepass you will be riding heelside.

And in case you ask gonuts the answer is yes.
