Hello All,
Heading to muine from 26th of this month till 7th of March.
Do you think 7 / 9 /14 would be a good quiver to bring over there ?
I also can do 7/9/12
If you have experience with the spot what do you think ?
thx
I was there this time last year. I took a twin tip 7m switch element and 8m, 11m naish pivots. I never used the 7m but did the 8m and 11m, as I recall I think I kited everyday.
The wife wasn't happy as it ended up been an 8 hour ride from the airport to Muir Ne with two kids. I had fun though.
id say 9 and 12. if its that bloody light you need the 14 its not worth it. plenty of other **** to do. a 9 and 12 will also mean you can fit those 2 and a board in a bag and be under your 23kg with ease

Hmmm we haven't even asked the standard questions. What do you weigh and what do you ride surfboard or twin tip?
My quiver is for a 85kg person riding a twin tip. The kites I took are equivalent to most 9m and 12m kites.
No I don't kite but I was there last March and it was blowing it's ring off and rough as guts in front of the windsurf hire joint. Funny as there was a tourist expo thing in Ho Chi Minh City and at the Muine display they said no wind that time of the year, nice surprise when I got there. Have fun, Vietnam's a great place

Hey ,
Will be there from the 1st myself , been going there for 6 years now ,go twice every year , if your staying a decent time , allso get to to Pha Rang , flat water and waves on the outside reef , few hours away from muine.
End of their season so crowds will be slightly better
The trip from Ho Chi Min is only about 4/5 hrs ,road has improved
Take the 7/9 its all you will need , early kite as the wind comes on with the 9 but from 2pm on wards normally the 7 will do most days , they have had a very windy season with bigger waves in the bay than normal .enjoy
Check windfinder forecast is good

key word being ****ing "waves" take a 9 and 12 if you arent some lawn mowing kook
If you're lazy like me you can take a taxi straight from Saigon airport to mui ne for about $80 US on the meter. Fair bit more than the bus, but if you're sharing... and/or it saves you a nights accom... or hours of waiting... easy to justify.
And kozzie, could you say "9 & 12" a couple more times please?
I have been here all season, I ride my 7m and surfboard most of the time, I weigh 85kg.
This season has been pretty amazing, a few times I have been riding a 5m
