Arhhhh! I'm so in need of a holiday, and I've only been back at work 2 weeks. So my plan in being put into action and escape this convict isle is last week in January for 2 weeks. But where to go.....

Here's where I'd like your help

Ideal: IKO centre for some much needed assistance.
A far off friendly place with cheap food, accomodation, sea and wind. And Sun. Is that too much too ask? I've been thinking about Boracay in the Philippines but flights are proving difficult to find. I'm now looking at Hua Hin in Thailand or Phuket. Any useful information on these places and more would be appreciated. What about Bali, New Caledonia, or Maui (ok a bit more pricey) at this time of year?

Boracay can be a bit of a mission to get to but well worth it in my opinion, message me if you want some more details

Hi there thanks for your opinion on the subject, you are not wrong about trying to get to the island. I can do it thanks to Flight Centre but it is expensive.

I am looking at Hua Hin in Thailand as an easier alternative. Any thoughts

Better wind in Mui Ne than anywhere in Thailand, easy to get to, cheap outside the big hotels. The waters a bit choppy, but there is plenty of different riding conditions to explore in the area. A cool place, Hope that helps a bit.

Mui Ne......Vietnam ....4 hours from saigon, about $5 in a bus, $50 in a taxi, Jetstar flys there direct(saigon-HCMC)......yes some choppy water however cheap, easy to get to, great seafood,, cold beer, windy.....relaxed....heaps of kiters (town wouldnt exist without them) and other stuff to do if the winds not howling. Bugger all wind in Thailand, Cambodia.....Mui Ne is the best option
