Hey guys!! 2 those of u going on about your wives & daughters not in2 kiting - consider 4 a moment my hubbies delimna (Sounds good but is that spelt rite?)

Having torturing himself by teaching me how 2 kite last yr (read kiting rage resulting from learners frustration - always going his way!! "Wotdoyoumean POINT my toes???!!! Iam b-----y wellponitingthe b-----y things!!!!") It's a whole new from of domestic abuse.!!!!! [}:)]

And his reward for his pain & anguish???.... He looses sole use of his kite as he hands it over to me when I arrive at the beach so he can watch the kids.....Wot a guy!!!??

Which is fair as I see it - after all, he is responsible 4 my addiction.....

As a result of his kind sharing heart- he now not only sharing his rig with me but as he has just taught our 15 year old daughter. Our 13 year old son is getting stoked doing boardless boosts...It's hard to keep him on the water - he'll b kiting b4 winter. Our 11 year old is lining up next, luckily our 5 year old still has a few years to go b4 he'll be onto it.....

2 cut to the chase, we r all bitching about who is kiting 1st - who's doin beach runs - who's using the 12mtr in 10 mtr conditions.....!!!!!!!

So maybe you might like to rethink you position on the advantages of having your spouse/partner/offspring becoming a kiting junkie!!???

when friends leave your house you ask them if they're driving along the coast to text if there's wind because you don't have internet at home.

Hey Little O,

Love the handle, makes me laugh!

You can always text me for wind speed and direction, I'll always be able to have a look out the truck and tell you live conditions, ......... so long as I'm not out testing new toys :-)

Stoked for you today!

Cheers,

When your drying your hands using the hand dryer in a public toilet and you wonder how many knots it has to blow to dry your hands. And secondly if it would be enough to kite in. :)

When you start talking about your kite as if it is a living being. "She just wasn`t behaving herself today". Worse, when you start talking to it while you`re on the water. Mmm, maybe it`s just me.
You know you`re addicted when tax rebate is now called "New Kite Money".

Not only do you talk to your babies but you name your girls too!!!

Your addicted when your fathers come up to the city to see you and you drop him at a train station for him to get back to the hotel so you can go kiting. Then he rings up 5mins after as he has no spare change, instead of turning your car round as you have some in the middle part of your car, you give him directions on how to walk to the nearest shops 500m away!! Sorry Dad I do love you!!!

Hey everyone, I'm from the US and here in Oz for a couple more weeks (Byron Bay at the moment). I've just learned to kite, and debating where to go next for lessons, accommodation, natural beauty, etc. I have a tentative 4 day lesson set up at West Oz kiteboarding (Safety Beach I think). Any other suggestions?

I'd like to do 1-2 weeks in Oz, then 1-2 weeks in Vietnam, then a month or so in Maui on the way home. Hoping to get this sport dialed and buy some gear. Open to all suggestions.

thanks

You rig up a wind sock outside your bedroom window.
You stop studying text books and watch the wind sock for the good part of an hour willing it to catch a breeze.
Even without the wind sock moving you decide to check seabreeze just in case.

you know when your addicted when.... you break up with a lady friend because she takes up too much time when you could be kitin... or looking at seabreeze and thinking about kiting....

or you cant plan any days with her because although the wind graph predicts nothing you never know...it still might come in!!

You know your addicted when.. you go out in almost no wind, just to try your new kite, and don't want to come in even if you are struggling to keep the kite in the air.

Newly obcessed and proud of it,
Michelle

You are standing on the beach, in December, in the UK, wearing two wet suits, neoprene hat, gloves and boots, looking out over the grayish/brown Irish sea, it is snowing and the wind is only just strong enough for you to get on the board, but it doesn't matter you are still a learner and will spend most of your time in the icy water anyway! Not kiting isn't an option so you quit your job and emigrate to Australia instead!

when your 20 foot boat sits in the driveway on a day when there is no wind and no swell and you go through your gear too make sure it ok,then park up at the water drinking just in case there is a seabreeze, even though the forcast says no.....
