You get up... You don't hear any wind... You go out on the balcony and look all around to see that there is no wind... And then you still check SeaBreeze just to make sure !
Damn ! No wind sucks !!! Noting to do but read forums and post messages...

Your driving home from clubbing at 2am and your checking the current wind and forecast for the morning, and considering where to go kiting, what time, downwinder or not, coast or not, or if its even worth it!

Mobile SB is the best thing cheers lozza!

Suits my addiction perfectly

When you've 'sprained' your shoulder to the point of being prescribed Endone just seven days ago, but start to think it will be ok to kite with in two days time given the 20 knots on the forecast...

I've lost count. I've just cleaned out the garage and I counted 8 kites, including two of my flatmates', and four boards, one of which isn't mine.

Of course I did sell some, just articulating my addiction here...

there's been no decent wind for weeks, bom says no wind, seabreeze says no wind, but you still drive the length of the metro coastline just in case they made a mistake!

When there was only 10 knts of wind and you still come off the water thinking it was a great session.

I'm hearing you Midge, I had to wait for 2 hrs for it to pick up from 7knts to 10knts.

Its pathetic wind I know, but you dont have much choice during winter here in south oz.

...you drive 45 minutes to the beach. When you reach the beach, the sun is on the horizon, you have a 20 min session on the water (as the sun goes down and gets too dark to see), just to drive 45 minutes back home afterwards!!!

But that doesn't matter, because...

I got some time on the water!!!!

When you are still learning and managing half upwinders/half downwinders/ half walking your kite upwind. but you still make 4 sessions in two days. Your arms are so tired you drink your beer through a straw because you dont trust yourself to lift the glass. And you still wonder if you can fit in a third session that day while the wind is good.

you stay out of work for 6 months just because your promised yourself you wouldn't settle for less, but then magnificiently end up finding what you were looking for: being paid to be having fun and have 5 days week-ends in a place that supplies endless amount of wind, waves, and turquoise clear water...
oh, and with the BEST kitesurfing spot 4 minutes away from your dream house, please...

Can't get it out of my mind
