When on an application form for a new job, when answering the question "what are your major time commitments during term in hours per week" you only include kitesurfing.....

'Tis the life.

ok some funny answers here, mine isnt funny, but i think moving interstate to kite, and changing work so your working in the kiteboard industry is a sign of some sort of addiction.

when you wake yourself up at 4am by kicking your leg out the side of the bed.
Luckily my wife didn't wake up , I would of sounded kind of pathetic explaining that I was trying to get my edge down to deal with that gust that just came through. (good though - I swear it was 30 knts.)

You've just finished a 4 hour session, every muscle in your body aches and youre driving home along the coast watching all the flags blowing in the front yards and thinking I could probably pull into the next bay .. you know , just one more run.

You know you're addicted, or at least seriously interested, when you tell your clients that your charge out rate depends on the wind speed. The rate is flat from 0 to 10knots and increases steeply to 18knots. From 18 to 25 knots it decreases slowly (yes, I'm quite a noobie). From there it decreases to 35knots quite steeply and is then flat, but a little higher than in the 0 - 10 knot range. After all, I may be new to the sport and hence not able to go out in more than 25knots, but I can still watch those who can! The scary part is that, when I tell some clients this, they believe, understand and accept it! So some phone calls (when there are green arrows) start with, "I know it will be expensive, but we need a, b,c ...by tomorrow...."

you smile, slyly, as you realise that the same mobile phone keys used to type "kite" are used to type "live"...

therefor "kiting" is "living", and "kiters" are "livers" (even if some of us haven't got much of that organ left )

So,

LIVE to KITE,
KITE to LIVE!
Ahhhh fark it!
JUST KITE!

You have just broken your ankle in two places along with several fractures by mislanding a simple 360 rotation. You are told you may always walk with a limp and may never kite again, yet you still check the wind and wake yourself up in agony from dreaming about landing a new trick in your sleep!
