Anyone flown the 2008 Yarga yet? If so then what is the depower like? Is it like the torch and vegas which i hear depower 100%?
they dont depower 100%... been covered before ... but torches n vegas's must loose a good 60% of their power wen u let go of the bar... so do most c kites these days tho ie fuels n generators from airush which are both still full c shaped kites.. basically they depower enough that you wont take a spanking
If you're flying these kites, may i suggest that depower shouldn't be one of the criteria for your selection. If it is, go bow, C kites will never depower like a bow, they are a totally different beast. Freestyle go C, anything else go bow.
thanx guys
I guess that's what a fifth line is for.... miss HP, go to fifth line, easy relaunch, all good in da hood. 5th line depowers kite 100% i'm assuming. Alvaro says that the fifth line works better on the Yarga although the thought of an extra line to tangle gives we the creeps... hahahahahaha
i guess i'll know 4 sure when i get the yarga which will be at the end of the year.
We got our first shipment of Yargas in last week and had some good few days of wind to put them to the test. The Yarga has been completely redesigned from the last years one. This is a c kite, freestyle through and through. Depower is ok, about the same as a Fuel. The 5th line is mainly on the kite to help relaunch the kite, in fact we havent got our leashes attached to the 5th line at all. The 5th line will attach through the swivel above the trim strap on the front lines and has a OSR loop attched to the end so that you can grab it for relaunce. Safety is run as suicide on the cloop or on the outside OSR's.
These kites are unreal but are really focused on freestyle rather than anything else. Guess just ask yourself, what style and level of riding are you hoping to achieve.
I will have a better detailed review soon once I have tried a few more sizes.
Thanks
Joe
