My 2007 Liquid force havoc could not go a single session without something new breaking on it.

Not to mention that when the wind picked up the back lines would go completely slack while the kite still pulled like a truck. Seen this on another LF havoc too.

Definitely my most hated kite.

At least it didn't attract sharks like your current kit Matty! Perhaps sharks know a dud meal and stay away from shonky kites.

First tube kite I ever flew was a Gaastra prototype. It was enormous and terrifying. I hear they're good at making windsurfing gear.

Naish AR3.5 7mt. Pink one with the turtle on it.

My 1st kite (bought 2nd hand in 2000) and I've still got it. Stupid kite shop recommended a 7mt for me at 75kg. Covered in tape from where I tore it to shreds on some cliffs up north.

Shocking kite. Jellyfished like hell, never stayed still and only got going in 25kn+.

But hey, it was a pioneer. And the poor performance could probably be put down to the rolled up ends from a 2 line, held with cable ties.

Can't seem to throw it out though. Anyone collect antiques?

Worst kite i've ever owned:

North Rhino 2 10m. The wind range on this kite was a joke. I bought it for
20 - 30 knots but it just couldn't hold any topend. My Rhino 1 12m could hold more!

Best kite i've ever owned:

North Rhino 2 10m. When the wind was right, nothing that came before or since can compare with the jumping ability of this kite. What a machine[}:)] I miss it

I wish I could turn the clock back too, and Ill join you out on the water on my Naish X2, best kite ever, still buying new crap every year, but never that stoked again

What about the 09 Rebel folds in half especially when it hits the water.
Does not matter how hard you pump it up she still loves clapping those wing tips together.I still don't understand with all the testing they do kite companies can still release dud kites and **** me at 2000.00 smackeroos and you would think they would get it right.

Well then Arsa maybe you can explain why the 08 Rebels did not do this and the 09's flap around like a seagull without a head.Maybe it has to do with a thing called a centre strut.
Remember those crappy Cabrinha Contra's I lost count how many times the stitching was coming off on the leading edge and the poor quality of materials Cab used let alone the kite was a pig in the air as well.

Just thought I would add, that I had 09rebels (Stolen) they were by far the best kite I've ever used. I had a rebel08 - 09 quite similar just more refined. There are guys down at my local spot that are way better then myself doing lots of unhooked moves and slamming them into water time & time again never seen or myself experience them fold. That being said many ppl have said the same as yourself, getting to point - I've reorder rebels and they said that all new rebels sold have something added to them to stop any occurrence of them folding, and i believe anyone previously bought one can get it for free. Maybe worth asking your dealer.

Thanks for the tip only demoed them when they first came out and the kite flapped around alot especially when we crashed it into the water. We then tried to tune the kite up and it still was happenning.Good to see North have recognised the problem and fixed it apart from that the kite did fly well.
