Winter kiting at Wivenhoe Dam

Seeing that there is no wind around at the moment,
Hoppa DeKiter and I tried the local dam.
Westerly winds with over 10knot gusts.
Still, a bad day kiting is better than a good day at the office.

Wow, never knew the wind is good enough to kite at Wivenhoe! I only remembered it was gusty as when I used to windsurf there. Looks like the water level is right to the tops too! Beautiful place for a short camping trip!

completely agree with the office line. I find kiteboarding on dams/lakes fun, trying out different conditions. It doesn't always work out, but is usually memorable anyway. It also makes u a more rounded rider. Most of the time just saying to myself "what else have I got to do", is enough to get me out in unfamiliar situations.

I would like to say it my cinematography skills, but its not !
Wivenhoe is a very picturesque place
