I am looking to go somewhere different this winter, can anyone recommend somewhere outside of Aus?
I have been to Fiji, was thinking of Hawaii.
What is a good time of year? Where is a good place to go?
Any other ideas for August?

Why not try Sri Lanka as wind pumps that time of year. Negombo just out of Colombo and a better place (so they say as going myself in Sept) is Bentota.

12 straight days of wind last year from last week of july to first week of aug. Used 7, 10, and 12m while I was there.

Do a search on here for the thread on the Cook Islands or check out www.southpacifickiteboarding.com. No waves only flat water though.

Thanks for the help Guys, I am going to have a look into these places for sure :)
Could be a little cheaper than Maui too.

The caravan park next to Henry's beach can be pretty good that time of year

I was over in Bali in January. It was crap for kitesurfing in January, but they say that it is good in August. There are few kite places online if you do a Google search.

Why not try Lord Howe Island, 7 nights all inclusive $1679 twin share with many extras. Still in Aus but you won't find a better place. Good wind in August. There is also a 10 night option.
