Oh yes, being in vietnam would be nice now, but

the actual wind report looked different;)
and isn't west offshore...

I tend to dream as well, in this time of the year.
Anyway, any plans to go there later the year?
I was thinking about it, really liked it last time....

I was in Vietnam last week for 2 days and it was windy... didnt have a kite though, was in Vietnam for 5 days in July and got wind though - kited Vinpearl island off Nha Trang - was good fun but would like to go there in Ded-Feb as its an awesome bay and the locals say it gets great surf then too...

Yeh west is cross off, however you head around the bay about 4km and its cross / cross on....heaps of wind here at the moment...problem is the rain for the last 2 days...monsoon downpours with occasional easy 40+kn gusts in it, not much fun. Though tends to go SW in arvo, and no rain. Still fun, not as much kiting as I would like, should have brought an 8 or 9m...but hey it is not the season, so buggers cant be fussy, at least there wind to tease and good waves forming at low tide

Hey Cabrono ... at least you're warm mate .. still a bit chilly on the Bay. .. we had a session at KKK in the westerly .... Rick bought a new Helix but had to work ... so lucky old me got to take it out in winds ranging 10 to 25 occassionaly.... it was a back up session to a light wind ride on Thursday ... kite handles gusty stuff really well and continues to impress me the way it tracks up wind ...got some nice jumps in as well ... I think you will like it mate..
When are you back in the cold country... enjoy the seafood mate.
cheers

Had a fkn amazing day, 20+kn, big surf, big flats.. Huge ramps off the waves....can barely walk at the moment. Due back to Oz over the weekend, not looking forward to having to deal with wetsuits, cold water and gusty wind....Fk it...I just might stay..

Good on ya Cabby, soak it up ... cause when you get back ... welcome home to sh!tsville .... although there was a sneaky little nor'easter today ... Ricky Ricardo and Foxy Kane's mate " Blue shorts " Glen apparently got out on Ricks new Helix for a short sess...
Actually Ive got a feeling we are gonna get a great season this year ... can't freakin wait.
Was speaking to Craig yesterday, he is heading off to Indo with Windwing Dave for 3 weeks of surfing and kiting pleasure and Menace and Danza are heading up to Cairns next week for what could be a reasonable wind session if the predictions hold up.
Also there are about 20 members of the Club heading up the coast for three days from 24th this month ... hopefully some wind but if not .. should be a good party..
Thats all the news from here mate ... keep lapping up the fun in Vietnam ... ps. picked up any action other than kiting whilst ya been there mate.
Almost forgot ... Brandon is back from Fiji .. looking tanned and relaxed. Said it was excellent ... Glen from Xshore really did his homework and delivered the crew some great kiting... no doubt Brandon will fill u in on some of the exploits .. but one of them sounded tops ... worth making the trip just for that. We will have to look at the possibility of going on the next one.
Actually Glen if you are reading this could you post a review of the Safari ... I'm certain there would be a lot of interest .. cheers mate.

Hey Col,

you're now thinking of a Naish kite.... I heard you're not riding north anymore...

I'm heading off to Morocco on Saturday. Looks like there is going to be quite some wind down there. I'm taking my 6m with me as it sometimes gets to 45+. Not sure if it will be rideable then.

Waves are supposed to be of decent hight this time of the year. I'll send some pics from there.

Hope all is well and you're still showing the younger boys what big jumping is all about.

All the best,

M

G'day mate, good to hear from you. How is the kiting odd-essy going, have you hit all those exotic places you were planning to get to.
Sounds like Morocco is no place fot the faint hearted.
Mate I'm still crankin my Vegas , always looking for the wind. Decided I would demo as many kites as I can this coming season. Have enjoyed the helix and keen to try the other sigma kites as they come on line. Had a crossbow 3 out in 40kns at kkk a few weeks ago. You will like the boosting power of this kite... its capable of nose bleeds.Flexifoil ion 2 is also a great kite you should get onto for a session.
When are you back in the real world mate.. looking forward to tearing up Towra this summer ... trees might be a bit taller

cheers

Hi Cab,
Glad to hear you're having such a good time. Bring some wind back to us.
Other news is that CJP has put on another 5KG's.
Actually CJP I thought you jump quite a bit higher on the vegas than Helix but of course you're tuned into the Vegas.

cheers Al.

More like 16kg Big Al. F!!K winter. At this rate my smallest kite will be the silver bullet. You are right about the Vegas mate - tuned in for sure ... what am I gonna do when this one wears out .. given that they don't make them anymore.

How did Boaties go the other day ... KKK ran out of puff about 3pm.
cheers
