Hi all!

I'm planning a road trip from Perth to Melbourne all the way down along the beautiful coast

As I am from Switzerland I have no idea about the wind conditions in December and I could save some luggage weight by not taking my 5m Waroo with me (I have a 15 and 10m FSmPsycho 4 which cover the range 8 - 30 kts, my weight is 86kg).

I planned to take an Underground FLX32 and a Stella 144. In addition I would like to get a cheap surf board in Australia for kiting and paddling.

How many days beyond 30 knots can I expect in December/January? Is it really worth taking the Waroo and leaving the Stella at home (as I plan to get a surf board anyways)?

Cheers,
Dominik

Most days 20 knots some lighter and some get over 30. I think your 10m will be your best friend.

WA Cranking. BUT! respect the laws of the beach and don't kite through swimming flags and dont go where you shouldn't and then you and your kiter mates will be able to keep returning to our awesome shores.

Yeah Marco absolutely nailed it!
Swiss German sounds even more weird than German
Knoepf statt Knoten, wie drollig

In Melbourne the seabreezes are just kicking in at that time, so 16-21 knots would be a typical sesh.
Perth may have like 4kn more..

Mate - after the last 12 months we have had in Perf there are NO gaurantees in Dec or the summer season. By Dec we may be getting our winter winds.
