If it has a larger wetted area then yes it will - next!

well yes and no .in the early days boards were long and had a fair bit of rocker and stiff and then became flatter and then became shorter flatter and wider with flexible tips which get you out in in lighter winds than the longer flatter but narrower board .go figure .

one foot wider would make a lot of difference
