Who are the best bets for:
Juniors
Masters
Women
Open Men
Since Andy is not competing in Open Men it should be interessting who is coming through strongly to take the Aussie Kiting Crown!
I think there will be a lot of talented groms in the Juniors this year..
What will be the highest scoring tricks??
TS bs5's, tootsie rolls, pete rose's and crow mobes.
Dont think there is that many "comming through to take the crown" however i could be wrong. most the people who are in opens have been kiting longer than andy hahaha.
I reckon Ben Windings will take it out, hes been around for a while though.
the winner will be the one who does the most spinny things while unhooked with kite below 45% wearing backless bindings and shorts over wetsuit![]()
who is zeb?
im voting ben or abel canabel if he gets his consistancy sorted... close call between wingdings and doooche bag though
old school is the new New school. love it,well done
ha ha he he ha ha he
so whats the new black??????????????
winding for sure but if it was all about style i would probs already just giv it to rowdy![]()
i want to no whos goin to win the cable comp we r goin to hav charl![]()
hahah definitly bellzy 4 cable!!!!!!!
i change my vote for kiting to numnutz, his lunchtime is just too steezin
zebbs alright, but definitly not winning material heaps of kids ahead of him.
If Andy isnt around
then I reckon Abel has to be the outsider in with a chance.
Looking very slick lately. Bens got all the moves - sweet & smooth for sure - but Abels getting awful fast & powered. When he finishes with a powered landing hes as good as anyone.
But then I havent see the ES guys in a long time ![]()
It'll all come down to the 'steeze' and Sid tells me that for 09 fast & powered = bulk steeze.
(just an ignorant old onlookers 2c worth
)
Both Ben and Able smile and ride with style.....good luck boys. Remember that polished tricks count the most...............doing a forced squiggly looks like crap, even if you land it.....mastery of the move allows for the style and smile ![]()
Yeah be an interesting one for sure, between ben winding, lloyd wakewood, able, Zebby's always had it close, plus I wouldn't rule out lee kav or hudson either..
Who's going to take the freeride, and will it be about sliders an kickers??
Yes Dave, the freeride will be have a Park focus with at least one kicker and a 12m A-Frame/Flat bar confirmed. We are hoping to have a few more rails made locally and be available come start day! The format for freeride will be as per previous Coconets, get out and ride and enjoy Tannum Sands!
However:
The National's will be the main event with the priority given to getting a result in all divisions and access to the best riding zone. This year we will see a very close race in all divisions as there will be no Andy Yates (as mentioned), no Marine Sudre (womens), no Tom Ryan (juniors)!
The judging panel will consist of three well respected kiteboarders and two outstanding Pro wakeboarders. One of them judged last years Nationals, and is really amped on being involved again.
Yes, the word from the judges is power and style in all divisions! More will be delivered at the riders brief on the Wednesday morning.
As it is a freestyle event riders can if they choose and the conditions suit, make use of the rails/kickers in their heats.
It is going to be a fantastic event all round. Something for everyone! Park-Big Air-Freestyle Nationals - Freeride......yeah
does anyone know what day the NATS are goin to be run?
is there a program that i could get my hands on?
