Who here has a Volkswagen T5 Transporter? Had any problems with it?

Did you buy it new?

I have one myself and have had nothing but problems with it!...

I also have VAG-Com and can read all the ecu's in your car for faults etc etc/// if you wanted...

Anywho thanks in advance...

Simon :)

It's a known joke how bad VW's are.
There is always something wrong with ours... the latest stuff is undiagnosed.
Go to the commercial VW place for fixes as they know what to do, others will take random stabs, charge you >$500 and get it wrong, we had that when the connection from the turbo to the intake was broken and the car was running as a "naturally inspired" motor.

Had a T5 TDI for two years and went like a dream - loved it and miss the room a bit now I have a fully maintained company SUV so can't complain.
The TDI was giving me around 7-7.5lt km and towed my 14ft tinnie beautifully as well.

Blow off the VW dealers for service - they are a rip off. Find a good authorised Vw service guy if you can. If anyone wants the info on one in Brisbane let me know.

Also had a 97 Golf and 92 Transporter - both great - but 100k service on golf was steep and had one coil problem and 1 battery which over 11 years was pretty good.

They are just so better built than your clinky hiace or others. Much better quality
and build.

Bought a T5 for one of my fleet vehicles at work and all the drivers scrap over who gets it compared to the new hiace.
