Hey guys!
I'm currently studying in Adelaide and have always wanted to learn how to kiteboard. Unfortunately, it's not in season here and I'm only in Australia until July. However, mid-June I have a week off that I intend to travel anyways. I would like to learn to kiteboard as well. Where is the best place to do this, factoring in winds/weather so I can hit the water as much as possible?
Gold Coast? Cairns? Darwin? Bali?
Thanks in advance
... + 1 for Cairns/Port Douglas! Nice bunch of guys there and definitely plenty of steady wind!
cheers,
Robbie :)
ps tee hee Dong, green thumb from me!
Hi,
It is awesome in Sumatra. The winds are great from May to end of September. If you are looking for a great, quit place to kite/ride/learn then this will be it.
Pm me for more details.
Take care
if I were you id book for Bali, Sanur. Find rip curl school of surf southern end of sanur. Huge lagoon for learning, good people, the best facilities. I was in Cairns last yr and the wind was stronger but Sanur you get that extra bang for your buck $
This photo was from our weekend session. Talk to the guys at Kiteboarding Cairns and ask them to take you here for one of your lessons. Tide dependent.
