Hi guys,
Taking an unexpected short trip in about 3 weeks. Suggestions please!
The cheaper the better, i.e. Asia would be best budget about 2k.
Where would you reccomend for a 10day kite-surf trip, hopefully with wind AND swell-
can sacrifice swell if its too hard to find.
i don't need big waves, wouldn't be comfortable in 6ft and above.
thanks in advance
Simple - fly to Exmouth, hire a fully self contained Camper Van and camp at Osprey Bay, 2 minutes from Sandy Bay in Cape Range National Park.
Make up your own itinerary as you feel on the day. But calling you will be kiting by lunch time and drinking beer by 4pm
Flat water and waves = yes!

Going outside of school holidays and during the week, would you be the only one kiting, or likely the only one on the whole beach?
Looking at google street view it looks pretty barren and deserted. Which is great, but I would want at least some other kiters to get help etc.
Im thinking of doing a solo trip somewhere as soon as uni is over...

There are always kiters at Sandy Bay up until the wind subsides come Summer - Cape Range is barren, but not as remote as people think it is.
Instead of looking at google maps may be ask a local that was the first kiter to Exmouth & lived there for 19 years ;)
Just come back from Exmouth. Second time there in two weeks and I love it! Sandy bay yesterday was awesome. Fully powered on my 6m with just three other kiters out. Just wish I could stay longer.
Allthough you'll prob spend more money staying in Aus domestic flights being so expensive, Exmouth is a awesome part of Aus definitely worth a look . Campervan would be essential for traveling around Vlaming head Ningaloo up to the creek.
