Went out to brighton in brissy for a kite today but way above my skill level so decide not to go out, was high tide and strong onshore winds. I have trouble going in a straight line let alone trying to hold ground or go upwind.
Seen two kites get dammaged out there to day so was not about to join them.

Is there any where else we could be going? that would suit my total beginer skill level.

I'm no expert kiter and I'm just a beginner also, but the wind graphs say it's ese @ `20 knots at Redcliffe today, so would be similar at Brighton.

I was out in exactly the same conditions on Chrissie Eve-day and it was great!

Just my thoughts - cheers and Merry Chrissie!

Obviously more skill than i have at the moment.

But when there is only 3 guys out there on a public holiday something tells me the conditions are less than pefect. Specially after seeing two kites damaged.
