i wish. the closest thing to a flatwater spot around here is kirra on a low tide inside the sand bar.
Lake cudgen gets the northerlies bro. Gotta be on your game though and take a launch and land buddy cos its a deep water launch.... After that you've got to cut up wind put into the middle before you start huckng... The water infront of the reeds is buttersmooth.... The wind can get a bit patchy if you go to close to the banks but if you've been at it for a while you should be able to read where to go and where not to... It works on a southerly as well but the launch is sketchier due to the dead spot at the beach... You've gotta chuck your kite in the drink and get towed to the action before kites up.. So good times but not for the noobs and take a friend...oh the bottom gets a bit muddy further out but if you've been kiting loaders then that won't be a problem....
It won't get crowded stamp. It's a logistical nightmare for most kiters and there's no public round to watch everyone do their back rolls....
