Hey all,
Am thinking about taking 4 or 5 days off work in the next couple of months to spend it purely kitesurfing. I am a beginner but am at that stage when I'm beginning to get on the board and going. I reckon 5 days at it day after day and I'll have it nailed! And perhaps have the odd lesson during that week. Currently living in Sydney, where could anyone recommend I go for a week?
Cheers

In a couple of months hit up a 4 day trip, you'll be kiting like a boss by the end.
If I was a beginner again , knowing what I know now , I'd look for somewhere to do down wind runs with a mate. It wouldn't have to be a marathon downwinder either.
That way, you'll spend much more time on your board and in the water than doing the walk of shame, and consequently nail your ability to soon hold ground initially, and streak upwind soon after.
X2 for Australian Kite Surfari, and if you can stretch that far, go for the longer stint. Great value.

x4 (been there 4 times)... to get your skills up to date and incomparable service and conditions you cannot go wrong with Ant & Pauly tank town :)And I'll second the longer stint.. 7 days and you'll come back 1/2 a Pro eheh, guaranteed.V
Flights from SYD to Cairns return in winter outside of school holidays can be had for less than $200 return. A stint at kite surfari and maybe a few more days chilling at Palm Cove if you have the time and money and that would make a great trip.
Dont go to narrowneck unless ur on a surfboard.ask for dk nazza he will help u out.he likes to help newbies into this great sport.dont forget to bring a pen.good luck

Ahhh just go off Bondie mate! The surfies will love you for it.
If you don't want to travel too far, try Nelson Bay. Bagnalls inside the Bay is a great spot for a beginner (just get some advice on launching and landing) and several other spots nearby including the surf at Birubi and One Mile. A busy day is 4 kites!!! Plenty of good accommodation nearby and spoilt for choice on food too. Moved here recently and can't believe how good it is!!!
