Hi All,

A friend and me are planning a kite trip to Australia in October. We are wondering (if at all) where (east, south, west coast) the best wind is by then. Please let me know your thoughts on this so we come wel prepared to the right part of Australia...

Thanks a lot in advance!!

Thanks guys for your reply. However this doesn't make the choice more easy. I heard Australia is a little bit bigger than The Netherlands . What I am looking for is an area where the wind is constant, onshore and not to gusty. Are there any websites that have the wind history listed to make my choice more easy?

Thanks,
Sander

Green Island off Cairns

www.bom.gov.au/climate/averages/tables/cw_031192.shtml

Check out the wind rose for 3pm in October down the bottom

ftp://ftp.bom.gov.au/anon2/home/ncc/cdo/windrose/WR_031192_3pmOct.pdf

The site will also provide info all around Australia for you, but northern Qld and the Pacific Islands rock at that time of year.
