New to Sydney and want to get out and kite for a week or so before the season starts back up.

Can anyone recommend a spot at this time of year that is less than 5 hours flight and will have consistent wind. Also, somewhere with SUP/snorkel potential to keep the missus entertained.

Cheers

nth qld is no good if you want waves. The south pacific islands offer the best choice. waves and flat water. eg Fiji/ new cal/png ect

Cooktown ! Your missus can entertain herself in the museum whilst you kite

Depends on how much $$ you want to spend, domestic flights to Cairns are usually very cheap, car hire from about $30 a day, accom varies from $15/night to what eva! Yes no waves to speak of really...get your twin tip out :-)

If you want guaranteed wind, cooktown is probably the best. Microclimate over winter that blows solid 20-25 knots.

Kitesurfari do a great trip into the aborghinal land which is also a good option.
