What about the dakine starlet shorts, designed for girls but would probably work for anyone with a small waist. Yeah, they're technically a seat, but its not that bad.

Hey RR,

We use Flying Objects Sapphire in XS, that fits really small kids. Never had a kid too small.

Good winds,

Liquid Force does 2 kids/girls size waist harnesses - S & M before they go on the adults sizing that runs from S to XL. Top qual and very well supported.

Details: liquidforcekites.com

Goto your nearest LF distributor to try for sizing. The small Aura fitted a 7 year old we had.

I have 2 girls that have been around kitesurfing now for the past 2 years - fly trainers well and come out in the water on my back or on the longboard while I kite with them...

They are 8 and 9 and ready not to mention keen to take the next step. Alaong with these harnesses what kites do you recommend? THey both only weight about 30kgs

Cheers
Lance

For the girls,
Go for an Ozone Light, Airush DNA - Anything with 3 struts... About a 5m, maybe even a 3m... If you go for a kite with 5 struts, by the time there's enough wind for it to fly, there will be too much power for the girls...

I think with a harness, there is no best or worst!!!
Because body shapes are so different! Is is like a shoe, it fits, or it doesn"t!!

So I'ld go in a shop with good service and use their expertise!

Ps. I agree with Kitehard if your children do not fit in s, the xs from flying objects are very small!
cheers henning

I hope thandgroper isn't reading this .Kids should be wrapped in cotton wool and should not go near a kite of any description .
