Picked up a kite at a garage sail in the hope that it could be used and sold on to a kitesurfer, but been told it is beyond repair.
How do people usually dispose of the kites/ is there a sustainable way to do so.
Couldnt get $2500 for your 15 year old as new condition kite?
Donate it to the PNG kids - that'd be the sustainable thought

make a jacket, all the hipsters in Brunswick will be impressed (although they would have already thought of it first).
I'd like to see them turned into beach sun shelters to replace those instant pop up ones. I can't see how to make it work yet though, maybe pump them up and a few nips and tucks on the LEI and some sand bags could make it sit in ready to take off mode... which is good until it takes off.
JP here..
A serious post deserves a serious answer.....
Sorry that your plan didn't exactly come off by purchasing a el cheapo kite with the intention to rip off some unsuspecting punter.
You have a few handy options in regards to getting rid of it.
1. You can throw a garage sale yourself just put a sign on it that says 'crispy' and wait for a ex windsurfer to buy it.
2. You can make a parachute then try it to see if it works at your local elevated natural beauty spot.
3. You can keep junking/picking and also get in touch with lofty winds where you can team up and put in an entry into the Melbourne birdman rally or Moomba as it was once called.
4. Make some tents for those pesky asylum seekers in Calais, France.
