Found this in my shed. Got it from the the maintenance shop at work when the factory shut down.
Scotch brand.
700 Adhesive Cleaner and Solvent.
Takes a few minutes to disolve and then rolls off in balls of adhesive.
It's probably too late but I have had good results from heating the glue with a hair dryer when peeling the pad off. It takes the glue right off with the pad.
Any residue can be cleaned off with acetone or shellite.
muriatic acid for the win....
I use it diluted 10% acid for cleaning mortar off bricks.
And that's all I will be using for!

Hair dryer sounds like a good idea but I found that acetone made no impact at all. Thanks for your input.
Just carefully warming up the board now with an IR light before fitting new grip
Hi ,
Put a rag or towel over the deck pad to remove and soke it with turps and leave it for a few hrs or over night, it needs to soke through the pad.
Peels off real easy all the glue will be soft to wipe off to once the pads off.![]()
orange oil is really good at removing adhesives and it's definately non-toxic and not going to react with rubbers or plastics.
Gently warming it with a hair dryer will make it release I think. Most left over residue glue can be removed with gaffa tape or packing tape then turps or eucalypus oil should get the final remainder.
