Just wondering what size fins you guys are using on your twin-tips, also what size is your fav.

35mm, nice and loose, still able to hold an a edge easy enough, for upwind and popping
Fins just help track,
There shouldn't be too much difference between 50mm fins and 35mm fins.
Really depends on the board, your style & regular conditions etc etc.

Somewhere between 10mm & 60mm will be in the ballpark. :-)
Fins aint Fins - when it comes shape and fluid dynamics... yes even on small fins, same as the large race fins 
To prove a point - get any standard fin, then get a well foiled fin. Kick your back foot and see how much force is required to come unstuck.
Youll soon realise most are just a bit of resin sploshed in a shapy sought of thing 
63mm for my surf mutant. With a 100mm center fin on surf end.
Zero fins on my light wind board. wiyh proper balance and edging is amazing how much you can edge against no fins!
Have only ever ridden with 2 fins these have been shaved down to about 25 mm . Takes a little while to get used to but makes the board ride alot loser great for snappy turns, easier on the ankles, could'nt go back to 4 fins again makes a board feel like it's on rail tracks.
Heaps of new boards seem to come with 50mm, but when you drop them down to 40 or 35 they loosen the board up and make the board more fun to ride,
IMHO upwind is more of the rail and bottom curve or rocker.

I recon the bigger the fin the more it will hide flaws in your technique. Most boards are sold with oversized fins to make the board easier to sail. Last year I took my fins off to try improve my technique, and it did, it made no difference to the boards upwind ability and made it a bit faster (Probably only want to try this if you have a board with a lot of shape under it). I have now put on 17mm fins again cos it makes landings easier with fins, but I do like the feel without.
