Name your favorite kiteing move and why.

At our local hot spot we are lucky to have 2-4 ft rolling bay waves plus a flattish corner for tricky stuff.

Big air is always on, but our group is fiercely competative learning new tricks, looping and board off stuff.

I really like to see big floaty jumps, landed of course, but there is also something to a big wide carving gybe with plenty of spray ............

Picture this.

20-25 knots 1.5 head high. cross, cross on. Nice period between the wave.

Blast full pace at an approaching wave lip (healside) boost to the moon, glide, glide......
See the next wave approaching. downloop landing toeside onto the wave face. Loop down the line at warp speed and smash into the pocketed and ride that wave back upwind.....

MMMMHHHH............

I don't pull it off very often. But when I do.... Oh yeah.

Definetly just a simple long drawn out inverted superman off a wave kicker...or even just with a simple inverted tail grab, and like Plummett downloop it onto the next wave...

its like flying.... The bigger you go the better.

yeh that hand drag backroll backloop is sweet as well, agreed.

Oh yeah. I'll throw a boned grab in my wave to wave jump.

I do like a little bit of upside down.

Also stupid fast down the line. Forget the pocket and just scream as fast as you can along the face laying down big speedy carves. Works best in cross off double head.

About to get slammed by a monster pitching wave? Boost over the monster as it slams beneath you. Look down at the madness bellow and think "thank **** I timed that well."

Jumping boulders on the landboard. That adds precision to your jumping.....
Anything fast and sideways in the kitebuggy.... Riding sand dunes in the buggy is super lush.
Powered 25 knots with the trainer kite and the longboard skateboard on some super smooth concrete. Epic smooth carves, Smoother than the smoothest flat water you have ever kited......

Sorry. I got off track.

Back on track.

Storm riding. Take on the monster swell in 30+ knots..... Never a dull moment.

Kitesurf a glassy wave on a big door with no fins In ultralight wind.

Blaze an epic down winder.

My favourite trick is boosting to a significant altitude and then pulling both safety releases and doing a bomb dive from 40 foot up. My friend Aaron Hadlow refers to it as a "frontside powered rum-ball"

Ha farken ha... That is the funniest thing I have red this week.

Tell me you have actually done it. **** that would be funny.

I'm to tight arse and don't want to punt for expensive repairs to my kite by trying it......

I want to see it on video too...... It would be like trying to video bigfoot. Record for months with no result. Then when you turn the video off for a few minutes to rest. BOOM! You see a fleeting glimps of one in the corner of your eye.

Ride a wave toeside down the line sometimes 5 to 6 bottom turns and finish it off close to the beach with a bottom turn to head back out and pull a double back roll off the wave you just smashed up , feels good .

I like hanging between the shore and the first shore break,

racing out sliding the board upwind in the sand filled shorey and throwing the kite downwind over my shouder and either downlooping it or kitelooping,

getting that slingshot overpowered effect and hanging on charging down the line,

hooking back in towards the dry sand and sliding the board upwind at the last second sending the kite downwind and looping it getting that similiar overpowered slingshot

effect but this time only being in an inch of water,

hoping timing it with water running up the beach and not running into wet sand and faceplanting Hahaha

Pretty much real life video game

I love the more complex of moves..........Lawnmowing....Sometimes with a huge boost of maybe an inch or two at each end...I believe the height of the jumps is limited due to my rather porky, rotund and generally flabby physique....oh to be back at 90Kg and no fat when I was 20 Lol

Back roll kite loop.

My mates are sick of seeing 'em, but damn they feel so gooood.
also so many variations as to when you do loop, height on your pop, wind strength etc

Had to untwist my lines the other day, 27 ! full rotations, possibly even not including the ones that hadn't twisted the lines!!
I def do too many ( and obviously all in the same direction )
haha
