The padding on my bar has started to fray a little. What have you done to fix or re-enforce the bar

contact adhesive works fine , make sure both surfaces are clean and dry, apply to both, wait till tacky then stick easy as and lasts.

Tennis racket grip works great!
Had mine on now for over a year and has only worn a little on one side.

Some racquet grips work better than others. I found the thin shammy type to work the best as it doesn't get slippery when wet. However I had to apply it with super glue underneath otherwise it comes off pretty quickly.

Also Ice hockey tape probably makes for the best and easiest grip solution.
