i watch nearly every and all kiteing video and if this cant hold my attention after 5 minutes then i resorted to skimming thru it all looking for the good bits. hooray for stealing a few minutes of videos from pros like jacobson and richman jumping on eachother and rideing bicycles ?!?! wooooo yeeeaaaaaa

Not really sure if I will make it there or not, I don't think a lot of people are going. The setup there is pretty sweet (probably the best park) but the wind is usually quite light. I think if you get the organiser to write an invitation letter for you it should be fine, I think you need an invitation to get a visa anyway. I don't have any EU stamps since I got a new passport and I'm a Polish resident, but I think it would be fine anyway, I know Polish people who have been to the event.
p.s. For the record I'm glad you're loosing your sh!t over these type of videos so I don't have to

Great flick. I still think ( yes we love kiteboarding 3) is still my fav. At least there is nothing Kozzie can say bad about that one lol
Surprisingly enough I'm 100% with Kozzie on this one.
The reason it's got lots of crap filler too is most likely that you get paid more per 1000 views when vids are over the 10 minute mark.
Tits & Ass are available in copious amounts on the internet - no need to mix them with kiting, it just detracts from the pure experience of both, and certainly doesn't welcome women into the sport. If you need to use that to get clicks then you're aiming very low.

i do take my anonymity a bit for granted and itll all bite me in the ass one day im positive about that.
but hay ive worked in design i know the pain and trauma that comes from editing photage with your favourite song for 100 hours until you HATE that song, that stuff is the mental equivalant of blood sweat and tears. then you see these cheap knock off hacks just chopping up all that mental trauma (not to mention some poor pricks sat in the water NOT kiteing holding a camera pretending its all cool bro while wishing he was kiteing to, just to get some shots etc) then these guys just for advert revenue plus to draw people to there school and business and THERE the ones who get paid, it hurts.
plus the kiteing was by and large kooky as **** which for me is the greatest SLANDER i could ever throw at them is just what exactly they think is the dopest ****
alright well i gotto go SOMEWHERE come september (visa issues) definitely going to Hel n wroclaw (also the dudek factory) but before then BIG plans in czech repub (el speedo) then off thru crimea but gotto play my cards right only 1 passport sadly i cant have it all, so i was hoping to maybe use the event to my advantage to get access to crimea that way then "loose" my passport when safe back in poland and get a new one sent out so i can then go thru ukraine

The main reason I put the vid up is it shows a lot of different disciplines in our sport and I was really inspired by the bit with the groms and what they could do at their age. Guys on here seem to be too fixated on the disciplines that they do . Enjoy kitesurfing for all the different disciplines I do.

What makes a fully sic amateur video I hear you ask?
Having seen a lot of rubbish, I think it comes down to 6 things. If you can nail these 6 points, even an average rider like myself could win over a tough crowd like Kozzie.
1) Use a banger of a song, NOT "Flume or Deadmouse" I hear these tunes on the J's enough already..... Something like Carpenter Brut - Roller Mobster.
2) Video must be no longer than 2min. Your song will be longer so use accordingly.
3) Just get straight to the action, no one cares about pumping up kites. I do it every time I go kiting, I have never has an exciting or memorable pump up. Same goes for driving to the spot, its just ****ty filler.
4) Don't do the same trick more than twice. Don't do more than two tricks from the exact same camera location.
5) Don't show more than 1.5 seconds of riding before a trick. Them additional 6 seconds drag on.
6) Mix it up, wake style vids get boring quickly, technically hard, yes I know but still boring. Add some boosts, some waves/wakeskate and even some old skool.
7) BONUS POINT- Add some crashes. They are the pinnacle of all kite vids.

On a different tangent, I think the video would serve as a great teaching tool for someone getting into rails and wanting to see proper technique.

personally i want to see a mix of $50k worth camera equipment with a team of producers paragliding video and some old school gritty street skate video from 90's
there was something so cool about a mellow hiphop beat with 5 minutes of seemingly effortless skateing with dozens of tricks all done in 1 take with a rolling camera following. dre's old wakestyle vids were closest ive seen to that.
and then you got the **** from jean baptiste or shams prod paragliding videos which are honestly masterpieces in there own rights where blind people weep in awe of how well done they are.
one takes bulk study profesional equipment storyboards and planning and god knows how many hours of post production work the other one can be done by a couple amateurs with a bita skill and good conditions and a little style in one evening. im sure a pro rider could go from hooked in backroll to whatever mobe of the month progressively in one take in under 10 minutes. all need is a cameraman upwind of them and one decent long run. even a boat would do so doesnt have to be a kiter camera man. if you gotto get the kite in shot for the freestyle tricks not just wakestyle then do 2 takes one further back and all same again. use ducttape on the top of your board and write down the order of tricks you have to do on this run so you dont forget.

That vid only met 3 of your points 1,2 and 5 . That's only 3 out of 7 features you were looking for
Point 3 drives to the spot , at 00.15 thinking about how we are gunna cut this vid so Underoath likes it.
Action starts at 00.18 bird fly's across the screen
Point 4 at 00.34 same trick 5 times in a row missed first one at same camera location . 00.58 same camera location again 1st trick missed ,2nd one missed ramp ,3rd wow something different , 4th yeh ha got it. 01.13 back to same camera angle again and another 6 tricks . Now lets drive back home .
Point 6 lets mix it up lol
