Following all the recent mayhem that these southerly fronts have been causing we will be holding a safety clinic on the beach at Jervis Bay. Qualified instructors will be present.

Nah just a mug of HTFU laced with tequila will do

Lot depends of the Physio, but I'm hoping to be on the water for the end on November. That "hoping" is a big word

Definitely bring your kiting gear and a wetsuit even in summer.

Jervis Bay gets more wind than most places, particularly this time of year. The NE seabreeze comes in earlier in the season due to the water being quite cool. It has something to do with the way the deep ocean currents run into Jervis Bay. This produces the a significant differtial between cool ocean breeze and warmer land mass which sets up the seabreeze convection. At least that's what the locals tell me.

yeh, maybe. i will probably be on twice as much money as you, and i'll have double as much time off as you. so kiting could be good to fill in spare time.

Watch out you don't stumble drunk into the Bikie's bar, not many people walk out of there by their own free will

You want carnage! The Kitepower Demo Day, now known as "Carnage Sunday" was just the warm-up.

I'm happy to go with "Kurnell Kite-astrophy". I have a spring loaded line knife up my wetsuit sleeve.

But all that aside ,we're looking forward to catching up with the Jervis Bay kiting locals over the weekend. You might like to join us Saturday night for food and drinks.

Course racing? Lets discuss the logistics when we get there, it could be on. Do we have marker bouys? I was thinking of a down-winder to Hyams Beach in the NE'er.

Hey Kit33r, I live at Gerroa on the way to Jervis Bay. I won't be able to make the full weekend but if you can give us an idea of when the clinic & other events are on it would help me plan to be there for them, a safety clinic sounds like a great idea.
cheers

No definite times as yet for the Safety Clinic. It will depend on the wind. Most people should arrive mid morning Saturday so I'm hoping we can do something early afternoon Saturday. If you send me your phone number by private email we can keep in touch.
