Hey Crew-

I have spoken to the organisers of the wave nationals just want to give everyone the heads up on the deal.

Get onto the site and pre register to get your t shirt included for free with your entry- if you sign up on site at the comp you will have to pay extra- so save $30 and pre register !

If you are not getting there till late and are worried you will miss the competition sign up for the amateurs anyway- you will get your t shirt and be able to enter the big air and downwind race and any other events that happen.

Lots of people have puut in major effort to make this happen- get behind it and support it !!!!!!!!!

So who is making the trip over and where from ?

I spoke to a mate from Tassie who is heading over, another mate from Perth flew in yesterday....many others ???????

Looking like a solid week- the organisers have activities planned for windless days and heaps of stuff on offer at night as well as the make your own fun option.

Fire up crew- if you have done the Robe Easter event you know what it is all about, but if you haven't I highly recommend you make the effort to find out......

Guaranteed 5 stars for fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just trying to work out if anyone knows what the plan with the competition is? call it each day on or off?

As the way the reports are looking there are likely to be marginal conditions until Sat? now at Robe there is a chance of wind even on a marginal day, but we don't want to be sitting around or waiting all day on a marginal?

It is too early in the year for the solid seabreezes that Robe puts on so that cannot be banked on. they might push up the wind a little on a southerly day this time of year but not substantially normally.

It seems to me that Wed looks light southerly, Thursday looks very light southerly - SW, Friday might have an easterly (offshore btw) and light and then as Robe says it will go North (i think Friday night) and Saturday potentially turn South to around the 20 knot mark, Southerly is a good direction for Long Beach.

So Sat is the best chance for the comp, but this is weather predictions and that can be a little unreliable as you all know. however fingers crossed it might just happen then.

Who wants to sit around waiting for wind on marginal days? Or competing whilst walking up the beach, better to just surf (or whatever normal people do) and have a banging comp on the good wind day.

Yo?

Dazza you know what comps are all about, of course there are going to be long days down the beach, but if there is going to be wind in aussie land, there is going to be wind in Robe, its home of cold windy days...

by late morning the comp team will know if the event will be going ahead that day..

I gather the it means that we will have to drive to the kite event site at 3rd each morning for the plan...

Maybe morey could you put up the daily plan on the notice board in town next to the bakery, with each day weather report...

We use to do it each day for the robe easter comp, it also lets the locals know what is happening each day..

For interstates, that are heading to robe,, just two things... Bring heaps of warm cloths and if you are driving at night.. watch out for the Skippy's there is lots of pines forest in that area, and the Skippy's like to jump out and say good day...[}:)]

Bring on the fun.,.... Don't worry if there happens to be no win there is always the party time at night at the robe pub...

Safe trips

Hey Guys,

There is a vid up from the Nationals, which is Currently well and truly underway here in sunny Robe, South Australia.

We've had wind, waves, sunshine and an awesome local crew looking after everyone.... I'm talking 4WD's ferrying people back up the beach after massive downwinders etc!!! In a word.... EPIC!!!!

Anyhow, check out the first episode, more to come..... cheers
