Warning-don't use bees' wax on Rev twin CL!

Just a heads up.

In the past I've waxed single line CL lines-to prevent wear etc.

I waxed my Rev2 twin lines last week (dipping them in melted bees' wax)-after I waxed the lines I felt like something wasn't quite right-felt like they were too sticky and stiff-thought I'd just go with and see how they would go.

Went for a kite yesterday-bloody hopeless-the bar kept sticking on the centre lines, the cleat wouldn't grip the lines and the black sliding stopper won't slide-all leading to a comical time in the waves.

Got home and unscrewed the whole thing (including removing the blacks sliding stopper-which proved so difficult to get the lines back through-yep tried whipping twine to pull it through, some dacron on the tip etc.-just too difficult and left it off-never use it anyway) and dipped the lines in boiling water to remove as much wax as possible.

All up proved a waste of time-MUCH rather have lines wear out and replace them as needed than deal with a fugged up CL system.

Just a warning to others.

try teflon compound bow string wax- been using it on 3 diff revs cls last 2 years and been working well- no sand sticking, bar nice and smooth, no fraying or wearing out.

Wax is only good on the bridle lines to keep the pulleys turning , I have tried on the CL lines but moving the stopper was a disaster .
