I’m bit nervous about posting this after reading the threads to “Not Greedy” Seemed like a touchy subject.
Luke hit it on the head “sometimes things seem too good to be true”.
Guess what, I got a 2009 Crazyfly Raptor for $550.00. $700 would have been a bargin. I’ve never won a thing in my life. I can’t believe I have scored such a great deal. Thanks KITEACTION.
In regards to the “Not Greedy” post and Kite shops –
Everybody out there is trying to make a buck not just the shops. I have been kiting for only a year and I did make a mistake by trying to save a few bucks and buying cheap from eBay and the like. Don’t get me wrong, I know there are real bargains out there but for novices it’s a bit of a mine field. I jumped in with out getting the right advice from the right people. The people I got my advice and 2nd hand kites from didn’t work in a kite shop but they were still trying to make money out of me. They certainly made a buck out of me and I got no shop good will or professional advice, just a ****ty Kite & bull**** advice. That my fault. Live and learn.
I have had nothing but positive experiences after visiting Kite shops on the Sunshine Coast. It wasn’t until I went down to Luke at KITEACTION that I was put onto the right path. Luke actually stopped me from buying what I thought I needed. He could have let me go and sold me what I asked for even though this gear wasn’t right for my skill level. But he didn’t and in doing so made less money that day. Not only did he sell me a 2nd hand kite for a great price, he actually offered to lend me gear, for as long as I needed, while I saved for the gear that I couldn’t afford at the time. His integrity and professionalism has brought my loyalty to his shop and thus all my future kite purchases.
If I would have done this 12 months ago, I would have saved myself hundreds of dollars and my kite skills would have been way more advanced. I understand trying to save a buck but the professional advice and after sales service that I got can’t be beat and yes ‘Lovely’, I believe I have go my $300 worth of custom service and more.
