So can anyone tell me if it's worth taking kite gear there in November? Do they have a kite rental in Port Vila? Will there be swell normally? Do I leave my mother-in-law behind? So many questions.
I only know the answer to one of them....
Hi Beer Bong,
I've never been there but i have a mate that is working on a boat over there til end of november(aswell as most of the pacific) and she has taken all her sup and kite gear with her on the boat. Last time she was there with the boat she kited inbetween her work but she said the whole time she was there (8days) it blew 7 of them, a few days it was to windy for her 12 rebel but most of the time she was sweet on it.
She said the locals just come and stare at you in amazement! She loved it.
The lucky girl is heading to Loyality islands after that, then back to oz after good few months on the sea working.
X Angie
Sadly she's paying for the trip. So she's not all that bad, ignore the stigma in this case. She hates my music, so that's cool. Really hates my band name - even cooler
Angie, cheers for the info. Could you PM me any contact details of your pal, I could get some advice from her closer to the time.
There's no way I'm taking that old "bury me in a Y shaped coffin" tart mother-in-law of yours, even if she does wear the latest Victoria Secret thong to breakfast in the foyer.......
