Iv been trying to load and pop unhooked for a good month now and I can't figure it out?

I can load and Pop hooked in and get a bit of height raleys and that but when it comes to unhooking it just doesn't happen.

Iv tried unhooking on a few kites my dice, rpm and park. First I trim my kite a little then I keep the kite on a 45 load up the kite and then head down wind while doing so I unhook I then lean back cut hard with arms in and elbows bent and this is where I'm not doing something right? From what I know your then meant to cut hard up wind and pop off your back foot. Then your off the water land ride down wind and then hook back in.

When I go to cut up wind to Pop off the water it the bar/kite rips my arms off and get no where with no pop. There's way too much pull? I'm doing something wrong?

I know this is meant to be a quick process and happen all within a second.

Iv watched video after video on YouTube and can't figure it out?

Mate, the reason we can L&P hooked is because you get that extra bit of power when pulling the bar in. Riding unhooked, there is no bar pull, so you just have to jump as the kite is amping to go up or down wind anyway. You can try a little load and pop if you like but what I do is just aim up wind and just quickly push off. Let the kite do the rest. If you load too hard you've killed the power of the kite.

Sounds like you need more speed and you are edging too long before releasing. Try get some footage of yourself and as you say you have watched plenty of videos you will know exactly where you are going wrong and figure it out.

i have just gone through the exact same thing. as they say above, you are holding on to the load part too long. then the bar is being ripped out of your hands.
just try little ones to start

The whole process happens nearly as fast as you can say 'Unhook load and pop'

since it is breakfast time

In most cases if the kite is pulling you way too much after the pop

1. You're overpowered. Most guys coming from bridled kites are pretty used to being overpowered I find. This makes it easier to leave the water after popping obviously but you'll just be getting thrown and won't be in control. Trim your kite a little and go on a slightly smaller kite

2. Try riding hooked in and popping some small grabs and rolls hooked in without moving your kite at all. This will help you work out using the edge of your board effectively and improve your technique

3. Once that is sorted start unhooking and bearing off further downwind than you have been previously and then edging into some big raleys. Do this over and over and over and over until your body starts to remember it.

4. Try to keep your arms slightly bent so that you have a bit more leverage

Maybe I havnt trimmed my kite enough? I only trim it a little bit so it dosnt fold in on itself?

Sometimes on the rpm I don't trim it at all. Will the rpm need trimming so it dosnt fold in on itself?

Iv got it set on the wakestyle setting at the moment is that what I want?

Rpms don't usually backstall at all. Especially if your only doing small to medium load and pops.
Fold in on itself? Something very strange there.
Pump it up hard.

Folding in is because you didn't pump it up enough.
Keep popping hooked in, keep the bar in the whole way.
Land 10 in a row, then try unhooking again

I was taught that you should nearly be able to stand in one spot on the beach "just" with your kite unhooked?

No don't depower it that much, you won't leave the water.

My mate rides the dice, he had a 10m and I get what your saying. If you load agenced it the sides fold in and you get no pop. I watched this happen many a times. The solution is sell that dice and buy a different dice. He now has the same model but an 11m and it doesn't fold.
It's od trying to explain it but I get what your saying

Yer i did demo a Dice a few months back and did like some things about it but also did hate a lot of things about it.. it had a fair bit of power with a nice turning circle also was very good relaunch however was not convinced with the quality/ build of the kite as the guy with me both his dice's have popped just sitting on the beach. When i put a hard carve in the kite just folded in on it's self and went straight down into the water. I was only flying it with 4 lines at the time however i believe the 5th line could benefit the support of the kite. I think that North should only sell them with a 5th line as it is a safety hazard. The kite was pumped up super hard.
