.. favourite three words to read in a forecast .. and it looks like it's happening this Tuesday. Next three favourite words are "strong wind warning". ![]()
While these 38 degree days we're having (Perth) are plenty unpleasant, the silver lining is that the trough that causes them will move inland (and a new high cell approaches) causing awesome seabreezes .. hopefully starting Tuesday, and extending for a week.
(read about troughs and high cells here

Condolences to the east coast who seem to be preoccupied with floods while Perth just had the least rainfall on record... My apologies for posting frothing about windy conditions in advance. ![]()

Froth on Lozza,
If you didn't do it, I was going to. We'll all be ragged from excessive high wind strength kiting by the weeks out. Yahoo!

Let the boosting begin. Time to drive north and get nicely overpowered, huck and chuck....huck and chuck!![]()
So does the seabreeze start as far south as Augusta? had a great sesh there today.......I haven't seen a 12hr period so consistent, 25 plus! Check out cape Leeuwin graph under wa southwest
Good to know. I'm heading down that way for a few days next week and I'd love to get a session in at the river mouth and maybe find some waves.
Yeah checked out a wave spot a couple hundred metres towards the cape looks good with some nice peaks although the southern ocean looks a little angrier than the Indian. Rivermouth was butter smooth
Things in Sydney wouldn't actually be so bad if the BOM forecasts actually matched reality! It's bizarre how they consistently over-forecast the nor'easters and under-forecast the southerlies!
Luckily, we've had some cracking southerlies three days in the past week with 20-30 knots at times!
So what's more accurate for Augusta seabreeze margs or windguru ? Seabreeze says under 20kts most of the time when windguru says 22-25
Last two sesh at river mouth were bit average at under 15kts.
