Guys,
advise required.
Looking to get MAX depower for gusts from my 13M tribal 2. On the front lines near the bar there are 3 knots.

Which knot do I use to get Max Depower?

Need to tune the kite as it should be able to be flown in 20-25 kts? (I am 92KGS when wet...which is quite often when I'm kiting at the moment.

Parafin,

If you want max depower then your rear lines or outside lines need to be set so they are in effect longer once attached to the kite (figuratively speaking). Therefore if the adjustment on your kite is on the centre lines and at the bar end, you would want to connect them to the knot closest to the bar. This would in effect make them shorter than the rear lines at point of attachment and therefore provide you with the most depower. Hope this makes sense to you.

Cheers,

Hi Parf,
more importantly you need to check the position of the inner bridle where it attaches via the knotted lines at the leading edge. For max depower make sure these are attached to the closest knot to the leading edge.

Also make sure you are not using any kind of stopper system on the depower rope, this will enable the bar to move freely when kiting in gusty conditions

Lastly trim your kite so it makes max power at the lowest point of the depower rope (fully sheeted in) that leaves the max amount of travel for depower and also will put you in a better body position to handle strong winds/gusts.

Hope that helps
cheers
