Has anyone rigged a ditch system for a 5th line on a torch? I've used fuels that have a cleat on the chicken loop which allows you to ditch it when your kite bow ties.
On my torches there are two stopper balls on the 5th line which prevent this from being possible. Does anyone know if it's possible to remove these stopper balls and make the entire line loaded and able to be detached near the bar? Or if the kite can fly without this line being loaded at all?
don't know about the torch but i cant for the life of me think why anyone would design a 5 line without a ditch system of some sort. unless they just didn't think of it.. its not hard to do and can save your kite. and potentially save you a long swim. also being able to convert your 5 line kite to a 4 liner when you need to negates any argument against having a 5th
