Yep - C kites are not dead as predicted a couple of years ago, far from it, it seems they are marching back.. well for the experts riders and white knuckle fiends out there anyway.

Er.. this thread has nothing to do with me selling my virtually unused 11m high performance (Yarga Pro) C kite to someone who can use it better than I. LOL!
After a freaky experience on a C (my 9m) I am steering away from Cs but find it interesting they not only still have a niche but appear to be truly coming back??

It's a strange world out there.. each to their own though, and I sure did love the fun of Cs while it lasted.

It was the 'Kitemare o' the week' from a couple of months ago. Still trying to get the skids out of mt boardies from that!

Although I did manage to wreck my left 'give the bird' finger in 30+ kts, at KS (think it got jammed inbetween the chicken loop and bar?) then went and flew the Core GT 7m which was insanely fast (and pretty heavy duty o the bar) which didn't help things..

I sure did spend all my gumby credits at KS and am hangin for some good steady sub 30kts wind, but another few days will help with the dodgy digit for sure (still bloody painful, swollen n stiff).

Good to meet ya up there Mr Mac, should catch up for a downwinder or sumpin soon? Hope Slacko get back on the board asap too.

BTW - as well as shamelessly bumping my Yarga Pro, I was keen to hear from those that have started on bow/hybrids and gone to Cs. As is my way, I am going a bit against the flow by spending 4 seasons on Cs and now looking at hybrids/SLEs. I am sure I will miss the grunt and feel of Cs but need the extra safety (high gumby factor) and windrange. Life is full of compromises..

Unless you have a good spot in the south easterly? If it swings more southerly this arvo I am up but might not be able to make it until 6pm?
