Hi all, Please watch the following movie and then continue to read:
www.vimeo.com/wizmount/wizmount-action

More than a year ago I posted here a topic asking your opinion about the need of a mounting system for GoPro and similar cameras that will provide a natural and attractive POV (Point Of View) for kitesurfing. The positive feedbacks that I got here (and elsewhere), led me to found a new company that will focus on new innovative solutions for self shot videos in extreme sports. This is how Wizmount was born.

The system was born and developed mainly in kitesurfing, but as you will see in the movies, it can be used in almost any extreme sport that you can think of. Versatility, comfort, image stability, top quality, safety and reasonable pricing were among our main considerations.

All details can be found at www.wizmount.com

Thank you

Nice product and angles.. however I really think the bar in the image distracts from the overall scene/action..

360 degree mounts are pretty cool. I've diy one but not sure if I'd use it on the water.

I did not plan on giving a sales speech, but since other options are described here, it would be important for any potential buyer to consider the following points:
- How many positions, angles and distances can you shoot with the system. Wizmount has 3 adjustable joints on the poles plus additional 3 for the camera. In addition, there is telescopic mechanism between the last 2 poles for distance adjustment. The result - you can shoot from any position, angle and distance
- Safety - Does the system have any safety mechanism? Wizmount joints can be adjusted with various strength. If you hit something hard, you want the system to absorb the impact, not your body.
- Stability of the system - this is important not just to the video quality but also to your comfort and feeling while riding your gear. When you have a small plate holding a long straight boom, it cannot be stable by definition.
- Dis assembly - can the system be disassemble for trips, or when you finished with your shootingStorage - for downwind trips, bikes, ski and more, you want to store some stuff and not carry additional backpack
- Quality & strength - these systems go through massive forces when you crash or land hard. Wizmount is made only from Aluminum (including the camera mounts) and reinforced backpack with no less than 6 inner straps that hold the base plate (designed ergonomically to fit your back)
- Does you get a full system that you can mount your camera and go, or you need to add all kind of mounts for the camera
- Do you have an option to run a leash to secure the camera - Wizmount has optional leash that connects between the camera, through the inner part of the poles, to your backpack. The leash is not seen.
- Wizmount was developed by kiters over a year!

There is more, but I think you got the point. Check carefully what you plan to purchase and decide for yourself

Welcome to the world of 3rd person view mounts

If I could quote Andy Warhol

"Everyone will be famous for 15 minutes"

and I particularly like this one

"An artist is somebody who produces things that people don't need to have"
