But the really BIG news is - not only will the after-party be THE world public premier of an amazing new kite-vid but we will also have a starring guest appearance by the movie director himself. 
Registrations open at 1:30 at the Swanbourne Surf Life Saving Club. Numbers for the bus shuttle to Leighton are strictly limited so dont be late.
Partners are welcome (urged even) to join in the after party where the the new WAKSA logo will be unveiled.

Members will get a mailout a little closer to the event with the full gen.
But we are thinking that the bar will open a bit before sundown - about when the keenest kiters come off the water - as opposed to the thirsty ones

Dinner delivery around 7:30(ish); movies & presentations to run on from then as it suits.
So ms lily - if you need to go home to make yourself beautiful well at least you havent got far to go

Sorry Folks for the late posting but the forecast is making it extremely difficult to call. If you have been following it you will have seen that it has changed heaps at every update. Looking really bad at the moment. 
As it stands the Xmas party is definately on - regardless. Music & beach volleyball from 4:00 onwards. Bar open around 6:30; pizzas arriving an hour later. Vids when we are ready. The Logo unveiling and prize presentation around 8:30.
All members will receive an E-mailout with all the details later today.
If it is 'GO' then the registration at Swanbourne Surf Life Saving Club will be opening at 1:30 - 1st bus shuttle leaving at 2:30.
At this stage we have decided not to make the downwinder call until tomorrow morning.
So you will need to watch this space for that announcement.

With plenty of wind - all from the wrong direction - we have no choice but to cancel the downwinder session of the day.
Hope to see just as many people turn up for Xmas party. Remember we will be ordering the pizzas according to numbers we can count at 5:30. A bit messy but also very unavoidable.
So bundle up the family and come on down and spend some "quality time" with your kiting mates along with some land based sports challenges. The night time entertainment is sure to please.

(just get the the beach at Cottesloe & head north on the coast road till you drive into the carpark)
And remember the bar will not be opening until after 6:00 so if you're going to want a few hardies before then you will need to BYO.
Thanks Jeremy, Alex, Phil and all the WAKSA committee for a great night - t'was great to catch up with some mates I hadn't seen for ages, the usual suspects and to meet some crew for the first time ... and the beer and pizza went down VERY nicely while watching Shannon's latest DVD! Well done guys

I know that 5 events in a row jinxed with wind must take it out some of the amazing energy you guys put into organisation these events... but thanks guys, we really really appreciate it.
The venue last night was SWEET Phill... and it was great just to chill... even the one very hot pizza was good ;) Good to meet people you sometimes only have time to run past on the beach as we do another downwinder... :)
You of course know what all these windless event days mean... ?
