Living very close to the spot at moment. Have noticed a horrible wind shadow close to the beach. Would not try to kite the break unless it was completely empty. Have noticed that few local kiters have real attitude there. They treat it like it is some wonderfull, unique place like pipe or Margaret's. Well it's just pretty average and there is really no need for Kiting localism especially when guy's who are given the cold shoulder are living more local. Anyhow it is an advanced tricky spot. Beware of need to self launch/land even if there are other kiters around. There is really shallow reef and lots of dugites. Still worth a look if you are around area
What is Dewars like to kite??? I had surfed it a lot... It gets quite good on a big swell!! Actually would be good to do a downwinder from Dewars and head north towards Moore river..
