Glad to see this thread is ticking along well...
Hilly - thanks for that review! It is great to see that you are so happy with the kite.
RK - I agree, the bags blow. We are totally re-designing the bags next year...we are a small(ish) company and this year it was all out on the kite itself, some improvements to the accessories for next year - moulded chicken loop with replaceable loops of different sizes, nicer bag, small things... That being said, your bag should fit the kites with the struts inflated so you obviously got a wonky bag somewhere. I don't know if you bought it from Kitesurf Direct or West Oz KB but please get in touch with them for a credit towards future gear from us...I will make sure you are taken care of.
Emu - the vents are actually completely inert when the kite is flown properly, with their covers lying flat against the kite. As Infinidie will attest there is actually a boundary layer of air that sits next to the skin of the kite that the air flow runs over so small disturbances like the subtle difference between the canopy material and the material covering the vents are not important. The vents only open when the kite is flown at too high an AoA.
C vs Bridle guys - We do make a KILLER C kite called the Diablo. The 2008 (and the coming 2009) diablo kites also feature Venturi Technology so you can fly 5 lines or 4 and still have the advantage of the vents.
