I know people usually post about their bad product support! Thought it was about time someone posted a good service story!

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Auswind, and Michael at AIRUSH for their more than generous support.

when my young daughter needed replacement bar and lines for her 2008 AIRUSH DNA 4m they were more than helpful in finding a new replacement set. Their service was 2nd to none and I am extremely impressed with their product and support!

I hope others get to experience such a high level of service!

Thanks again guys
cheers

Good work Fav, your daughter knows best, now dump those crap North kites you play with and go Airush kites yourself, more grunt, better quality

hey fattso, how much does your daughter weigh? and what is her wind range and level of experience?? my young fella has an 08 4m dna (he's around 29kg) but think he may need bigger for our typically light winds... he's at "just getting up on the board" stage.

back on topic, i've always had a pretty good run out of auswind as well, good product support...

high as a kite

at what age do you think it is ok to start teaching kids to kite? I have a little girl, shes only a rugrat at the moment but I am thinking when she is about 8-9 I can hopefully introduce her to the sport.

Get her a small 2 line kite now, either one with a frame (sport kite/stunt kite) or a small parafoil style kite. There are many options in small parafoils, just make sure it is small so that when its windy its not going to drag her or scare her and put her off kite flying.
I started flying kites with Goshen when he was approx 14yo and with Peace when he was approx 7-8yo, they both loved it, obviously!
I reckon from age around 10'ish is fine to teach a well co-ordinated youngster who is a good swimmer, to kitesurf or power kite on land.
They need to be demonstrating that they are aware of the consequences of their actions, showing they have some foresight developing, and obviously you watch them like a hawk while they are hooked up to a kite.

I doubt that there are many things that are as much fun that you can share with your daughter and it would be a great thing for her to get into and share with you as she grows up. Think of all the nice wholesome kitesurfer blokes she could meet?
Then again...............

Goodwinds

He's never been the same since that pit bull took out one of his goolies..

For those that came late.. I don't fly Airush but have always found the blokes at Airborne here in Perf pretty mint. They replaced a couple of items p[urchased there that fell down on me - both were a 50/50 as to whether it was faulty or just 'one of those things that happen'. Good service for sure.
