Hey all. I've just been told by knee specialist I have chronic poptliteus tendonitis (knee)??? I've had this for 4 months, finally after many scans ect to find out what the pain is, there has still been no remedy to getting back on the water. Anyone else have or had this problem?? What was the plan of action ect?? I'm desperate to get flying. Cheers in advance

I had a permanent 24/7 knee ache all summer ,worse when I did nothing .Anyway a G.P. gave me a cortisone injection behind the kneecap 2 months ago, Instant relief .Knee went from probably 60 per cent to almost 100 per cent. I am still amazed at the result.

can you be more specific in terms of where the tendonitis is coming from? I have had it in my right leg right at the very top of the shin where it connects to the knee cap. My physio said it would get better with rest, and though I didn't give it any rest all summer it does feel better now. It never stopped me from kiting, even long sessions, however I dosed up more on Voltarin than I would normally ever had

Cheers. It's a small area called the poptliteus tendon at the knee back of knee.
I had dry needling done today and made a difference. I kept kiting on the injury in the beginning and it just got to a point where I could not kite without serious pain. I did try dosing up on the anti inflammatory tablets, but was hell once they wore off.

Cheers. I will ask gp about this. Have met few people that have had it done, achieving good results.
