If you had any gear stolen at Kitestock this year, there a good chance that the Dongara Police may have it now.
FYI, I've just tried ringing the published number for Dongara Police and it's no longer connected. If I find a working number, I'll post it later.
Correct number is +61899559300, but don't bother ringing them today -- only people working are the patrols, no admin staff on duty, so wait til Monday.
I recognised one of the items as belonging to some German tourists who had the board stolen from the carpark at Point Moore around about the same time, so these little pricks have been operating wider than just Dongara.
Just spoke to grant oic at Dongara police, if you want one of us locals to bring your kites down on our Perth run , you need to email Dongara police authorising us to collect them , as I mentioned in another post were willing to help re connect you with your gear, mail me if needed , cauncy
FYI, have just spoken with Dongara Police and the youths charged with the thefts are claiming that they own all of the items that have not yet been claimed, so unless someone comes forward to place a claim on the remaining items not only will they will not be charged over those thefts they will be permitted to keep those items.
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD TO ANYONE WHO YOU KNOW WHO ATTENDED KITESTOCK WHO MAY HAVE HAD EQUIPMENT STOLEN AROUND THE TIME OF THE EVENT, AS WELL AS ANYONE WHO HAS HAD ITEMS STOLEN IN AND AROUND GERALDTON, AS THERE WAS AT LEAST ONE ITEM IN THE LOT THAT WAS STOLEN FROM GERALDTON AT POINT MOORE AS WELL AS THOSE ITEMS STOLEN FROM DONGARA DURING KITESTOCK.
I say make them use the gear they "own" in the next 30knot plus front that comes through!

I seriously don't think they ARE kiters -- they only CLAIM to be kiters in order to thwart police attempts at charging them for the thefts. if no one claims the items or filed reports with the police, the police have no evidence to prove the items are in fact stolen and they escape prosecution for those items.

they arnt kiters here, were a tight knit group of around 6 or 7 , they wont be kiting on our patch , surely waksa have info on who lost their gear

Well might I suggest the police take them down the beach and say..'okay set up, let's see some action'.... And as Jason said in about 30 knots.
