Going on a trip to Tassie for 4 days. Arriving Davenport driving to Hobart.

Any suggestions that can help me make it a great kiting and adventure holiday would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Post up in the tassie section.
Last year I saw a week full of green arrows in tassie, booked a flight, posted up in the tassie section and they were super helpful with location info. Ended up staying with a local kiter down there and kiting with a few fellas off here. What hospitality!

... you need to figure out if you wanna turn left or turn right out of Devonport,,,,, red pill or blue pill kinda thing. Turn left for the east coast or right for the west coast,,,,,, west coast is hard core,,, loved it.

Ya gunna need more than 4 days man, its an unreal place and much to see!!

i'm not a taswegian - but put scamander on your list. not sure if i fluked it, but absolutely scored there this time of year a couple of years ago, with 20kn side shore and overhead rivermouth bar waves. would love to go back - one day. that stretch of coast north of wineglass is beautiful, and nice smaller towns too, bicheno etc

bridport and around there we got good wind. no waves except ankle to knee high wind waves. i think lowhead is also up around there, and it got 25-30kn there, a few polies even out on the flat water speed runs.
marion bay closer to hobart is really nice. carlton if you are in hobart and need to get wet.

pm dougalh on here - he is usually offering good advice to visitors and is mates with a guy i know from there who loves pies, so he must be a good bloke haha

have a great trip - 4days is not enough!!

Have a look at www.thespotguide.com.au. It is designed for windsurfing spots but still applies to kitesurfing in most instances. If you're staying up North then look at Stanley, Ulverstone, Port Sorell, Low Head, Greens Beach, Bell Bouy. If you're going down South then you'll need to do some more digging. Hard to go past Stanley, you can sail in any wind direction. There are flat water and wave options, jewel of the North. Just play nice and stay out of the speed strip when the windsurfers are in there
