Hi there,
will be visiting Sydney in the last two weeks of April. Is it work bringing my kite gear?
I only ride in waves with strapped surfboard. Definitely prefer sideshore wind direction.
Are there any good combinations of wind and waves around Sydney? I would be keen to move, even with internal flights if needed.
Thanks,
gyru

That time of year is a bit sketchy for wind. The sea breezes have generally ceased. But there are still southerlies happening every couple of weeks. If dragging your gear along is a Hassel I wouldn't bother. But Murphys law says if you leave your gear at home it will be all time while you are here.
For southerlies head to Wanda or long reef

Thanks for the reply. Are there any better areas I could reach with an internal flight? Alternatively, what about the surfing scene for beginners around Sydney?
Thanks again!

I dont know of anywhere in Australia that is good at that time of year, maybe North Queensland?

Otherwise surfing will be good, water will still be warm and if there's no wind the surf will be OK all day long.
