Been pretty epic last couple weeks, and with a 8m tides the foreshore has been hammered. Right along the Nightcliff foreshore waves have even bashed their way onto the road, taking out some of the bike path too. Surf club ramp gone again and now a meter drop, like a mini cliff right along the whole beach. 20 - 30 again today and with a 7.9m tide this arvo, its gunna get smashed yet again and we'll be there with big grins rigging the little kites again,,,,, have to land kites on the grass btw and clamber up the mini cliff, probably a bit dangerous but what else ya gunna do,,,,, epic fun!

man those tides are off the scale. 8M! The biggest tides we get here in nsw are 2m And they are called king tides. The change between high and low tides up there must be phenominal.

2m tides is like our neap, thats bugger all!
7/8m tides makes for an interesting day, when you get high in the moring with the out going tides the waves clean up, by lunch time low tide (0.5m) we get lots of flat water action with 1 foot kickers but we gotta walk 1 to 2km to waters edge then in the arvo as tide comes up so do the waves so same beach can have 3 very different conditions, almost as if you changed location! Crazy but loads of fun too, keeps you on ya toes!!!!

... big tides and waves have erroded away the surf club ramp,,,, nearly 2m drop now, got to walk kites down near where we park the cars! Surfclub guys can't launch their boats anymore til something is done! Mother nature always wins 
^^^^ ... a bit of a sore point with me,,,, I bring my camera gear down,,, leave it for others to take pics and video,,,,, and no one is willing to give up water time to take pics or vid!!!! Arrrrrgggggh!! Anyway, I'll try my best as soon as I'm too tired to kite,,,,not!
