Love them or hate them, i have been in the north and south west the last couple of months and have snapped 4 leg ropes. The last couple were comp leggies as i had no others left in the troopy. Anyway i was forced to use a malibu leggie which is extremely long compared to the others. I have found this mych better as when pulling out of the wave using the kite you have much more forgiveness due to the length and the board does not shoot back as often, and as hard. Also the board is further away. I must admit i have had numerous wraps around the bar using all leggies and the extra length did not seem to increase this. Anyway at the moment im sold on this idea and will continue to run it and thought it might be food for thought for some of you.

But don't you hate the drag on your leg as you're kiting out the back. Feels crap

What kind of situations were they where the leggy wraps the bar?

When falling on waves the board went through the lines and also over the top of lines. Simply undo leggie and pull through. Leggie only used on reef breaks.

+1 for a Mal leggy. Sometimes it's nice to be that extra foot or two away from the board

Yeah right, thanks. Funny, after all these years my board has never gone through my lines as far as I can remember (although not on the SB half as much these days). Well, it happened yesterday. No leggy though
